Any dark marks you see on the pony are just caused by her resting against the scanner. She has two very faint pink marks on the right side of her face, one above the eye, and one on the cheek. They are not very noticeable. The only other marks on her body are the rubbing and some scratching of her pearlized coating, which you can see in the picture. She's still shiny and quite pretty though :)
Her hair is absoulutely wonderful. It is soft, silky and very shiny. It shows up discolored in the pictures, but it is just the way the light of the scanner reflects... it is really beautiful! The only flaw is a small amount of rust at the base of the tail, but thankfully it is all on the underside, so it doesn't show for display. You can get an idea of it in this picture here. It is just the dark color right at the very base of the tail... once again, the rest is caused by the lighting of the scanner.
Some days I really wish I had a digital camera :)
